I have developed my clinical role in the management of complex neuromusculoskeletal pain, drawn knowledge and understanding from working with multi-disciplinary teams, acute medical teams and from current evidence based literature. This has led to innovative clinical development in my understanding of pain management which I have disseminated to patients and interprofessional colleagues through mentoring programs. I maintain an up-to-date CPD portfolio through my blog the naked physio and also peer review for international journals. My other clinical interests include philosophical and phenomenological underpinnings within physiotherapy, use of creativity in clinical practice and also strength and conditioning programs for patients from various cultural backgrounds. I have always shown an interest in education and have expanded my practice-based educator skills through mentoring of new graduates and physiotherapy colleagues in the UK and in NZ.
