About The Webinar
A squad of players is not a homogenous group of athletes. Functional medical screening and individual athletic profiling in professional sport has become an important role for the medical team in assisting in injury prevention. The importance of any screening programme in the sporting clinical environment is that it is functional, repeatable, requires little or no equipment, does not take long to complete and hopefully prevents either the onset or recurrence of injury. In the integrated model of functional movement, injury is caused by alterations to the articular, muscular, neural and emotional state of the player. From baseline assessment tests an individualistic prehabilitation/rehabilitation programme can be provided for each player instead of every player performing the same routine as most often happens. Factors such as previous injury, skeletal variations, age, and compliance may limit the response of any specific injury prevention programme
