About The Webinar

Active rehabilitation post-concussion is an important component of new sports concussion guidelines (Patricios et al 2023). Previous approaches to concussion management around strict rest and simply “waiting” for recovery are outdated, and a more proactive approach to recovery is recommended to prevent persistent symptoms.
This webinar discusses the different symptom profiles post-concussion as well as the multi-disciplinary team roles. Discussions aim to better inform your post-concussion assessments and active rehabilitation plans.
Learning Objectives include:
- Identification of appropriate screening tools
- Clinical reasoning to inform individualized rehab programs
- Recognizing the role of the MDT, specifically, physiotherapy, psychology and occupational therapy
- Recognizing when to refer on for more specialist support
- Discussion of clinical case studies from the perspective of different members of the MDT
