About The Webinar
Graded Motor Imagery (GMI) is a novel treatment approach designed originally for complex and persistent pain problems. There are three elements that collectively make up GMI; implicit motor imagery, explicit motor imagery and mirror therapy. There is a small but growing evidence base to support the use of GMI, particularly for complex regional pain syndrome.
For clinicians wishing to delve into GMI, this talk goes through a brief historical perspective, introduces the different elements of GMI and the research supporting its use. It also highlights some of the difficulties implementing GMI as a treatment approach.
