This presentation leads on from the earlier webinar which focussed upon the pathology and assessment of Parkinson’s delivered earlier this year. This presentation aims to discuss the indications and benefits of exercise for people living with Parkinson. The benefits in relation to symptom management will be explored as well as the potential impact of exercise within the central nervous system. A personalised approach to exercise prescription is needed for people with Parkinson’s, this webinar will also discuss key elements which should be incorporated into exercise programming, to guide professionals to select and identify appropriate exercise for each stage of the condition. Finally, the session aims to provide some strategies which could be incorporated into practice to aid facilitate supporting people with Parkinson's to adopt a long-term exercise habit.
